Very much engaged in his Celtic heritage, Gavin is probably one of the most photographed men in a kilt in the Mid-South (since he wears one in every half marathon he runs and on the many area hikes he leads with Outdoor Adventure Meetup), is a piper with The Phoenix Pipe Band of Memphis, TN, a dancer with Memphis Scottish Country Dancers, and accomplished Irish pennywhistler. Gavin is also a lover of languages — 3 of the 31 language he is currently studying are Scots Gaelic, Irish, and Welsh.
